Yes, that's me. In the wee hours of the morning after writing "Kelsey's Song". That another story and another blog, but for now I chose this solemn looking photo as my blog profile pic because it kinda reflects the way I'm feeling. Posted by Hello

Well, today's the day we finally say goodbye to the old George Barrett. Born in 1913 he lived to the ripe old age of 91 and this photograph is how I'll remember him; somewhat mischievous with a dry and wry sense of humour. God bless you George. Posted by Hello

HP Deskjet 610C and Funerals suck

Here I am, in the early hours of the morning, trying to print off 40 'Order of Service' pamphlets for a funeral tomorrow morning. It's not enough that I have to organise and attend the funeral of a dearly departed but I have a crap HP printer upon which to produce this material.

Yes, I'm using the very expensive HP paper, and ink, and yes; I have thoroughly cleaned the machine, including the paper pickup rollers, but NO, do you think the damn thing wants to auto feed; NO of course it doesn't; instead it wants me to sit up here all night feeding it one page at a time!!

I guess I'm either going to have to get a grip and conjure up a solution or give it up as a bad job and go to bed. Who knows which it will be.

The solution options are limited; given that it's almost midnight England is not blessed with a glut of computer stores offering late-night-shopping. So I guess the 'buy a new printer' option is out. Waking buddies at this hour (assuming I could think of anyone this far from home[Ontario, Canada]) would probably not be healthy either. So, I guess it's time for another cup of coffee and feed the next sheet.
